Photo of the Day – July 5, 2012

Today’s Photo of the Day comes to us from North Texas angler, photographer and outdoor blogger Dustin Doskocil. His blog, aptly named Doskophoto, is a series of outdoors reports from all over the Lone Star State (and beyond), and the thing that will immediately catch your attention on his blog is the quality of his photography.  In this particular photo, Doskocil was floating the Brazos River below Lake Whitney when he came across this diamondback water snake sunning itself on a lay-down. According to Doskocil, he paddled passed the snake several times snapping photos before the snake finally awoke and slithered back into the water. LOL…kayak fishing sells itself, Steve. For example, I have a boat, but I prefer to fish from my yak more than the boat.

Dustin has a great site, and I hope to post more on his amazing photography on LSC.
