This is why they’re called Bucket Mouths

North Texas angler and LSC contributor, Mike Whitacre sent us these photos taken at Lake O.H. Ivie in Central, Texas. On this particular trip, he brought along his brother-in-law, Barry Kille, who had a monster day when he caught not one, but two 10+ pound LMB.

The story, as told by Mike, goes like this…

I took these photos last week at Lake O.H. Ivie with my brother-in-law Barry Kille. He caught a 11.5 pound fish and within an hour he caught another at over 10 pounds. Both were caught on topwater lures. I have been fishing with Barry since he was 12. We fished together until he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1993.

He was a security specialist in the Air Force and met his wife while deployed in Saudi Arabia in 1995 (she was deployed there at the same time). Barry is a 2 time vet from both gulf wars, and he won the Bronze Star on his last deployment.

Barry is originally from Fort Worth, Texas and now lives in Altus, Oklahoma with his wife and four children.

Thanks, Mike, for the great photos….please keep them coming.
